Tassimo TA1400 Coffee Maker Review
The Tassimo Hot Beverage System, when compared to Keurig or other single serve coffee makers, surprisingly offers a few unique differences.
With the Tassimo TA1400, you are still provided with all the same conveniences, such as no clean up, and you also still get your one-cup of coffee. Although instead of using K-cups, which resemble a coffee creamer cup, you use T-discs, which looks something like a serving of butter.
Also, Tassimo has put a lot of emphasis on the name. It is not a single serve coffee maker; it is a hot beverage system. Tassimo offers a wider variety of beverages. Yes, you still can make coffee and tea with the Tassimo TA 1400, but you also have the option of making espresso, lattes, and even cappuccinos. The best part is that you can make a wonderful milky latté as cappuccino with out having to worry about the mess of a frothing wand.
With the Tassimo, all you have to do is place the T-disc in the disc holder and press start. An interesting difference is that there is also the option of putting a second disc in, which contains pasteurized milk. This Pasteurized milk doesn’t need to be refrigerated. This means that in the morning you also have the option of an excellent cup of coffee, or a good quality cappuccino all in one beautiful machine.
Another fascinating feature of the Tassimo TA 1400 is its barcode system. Every T-Disc has a barcode that is printed on its lid. When you put this T-disc into the disk holder, the machine reads the barcode and knows exactly what needs to be adjusted, such as the water temperature and the quantity of coffee to be made.
