Discover why coffee pods are changing the way we drink coffee...

Coffee pods have filled a very important niche in the fast paced society many of us live in. In todays busy world, there’s hardly enough time to even enjoy the simple pleasures in life like brewing and slowly sipping a steaming hot fresh cup of coffee. It has gotten so bad for many that even taking the time to brew your own cup of coffee steals time away from other things you should be doing. This is no way to live, and it speaks of a deeper problem in society... however this is not the place to discuss that. An excellent compromise to this situation is found with the introduction of coffee pods and the single cup coffee machines that brew them. Now you can have your coffee and drink it too.

What is a Coffee pod you ask?

A coffee pod comes in a variety of forms. There are various proprietary coffee pods such as the Keurig K-Cups, the Senseo Coffee pods, and the Tassimo T Discs. There is also more generic forms of coffee pods, and you probably have seen these individually packed in your hotel room. No matter what form the pod takes, they all are basically the same: a cloth or plastic container of coffee packaged for the perfect amount of coffee to brew one or two cups very quickly. This is much different from instant coffee or tea in that the flavor is eons improved and far far richer. The coffee pod offers a quick and convenient way to brew your coffee in a hurry and on demand.

Apart from the proprietary forms of K Cups and T Discs, coffee pods usually come in two standard forms: a 62 mm pod size and a 44 mm pod size. You will see Senseo coffee machines that use the 62 mm pod size, and there are many single serve espresso machines that take the 44 mm espresso pod like the E.S.E. Espresso pods and makers. Both of these sizes are industry standards, which means they work with a wider variety of coffee brewers. Green Mountain Coffee, Illy, and other large companies make these. You can even find DIY Coffee Pod makers if you want... though it kind of defeats the purpose. We recently discovered that you can find Kopi Luwak in Coffee Pod form here. The worlds most expensive coffee, now in a more convenient form than ever!

What Is The Point Of A Coffee Pod?

Coffee pods take the guess work and time out of measuring out your coffee, also they help solve the issue of only wanting one cup of fresh coffee without having to brew a full pot. They are as simple as insert in machine, fill with water, and push button. They also save time and mess on cleanup since all the grounds are contained inside the package.

While coffee pods do run almost twice the price of a standard ground coffee, it’s the price one pays for convenience. If you have the time to brew your own pot of coffee (and we certainly hope you do) then perhaps pods are not for you. But if you run a busy business or office, or are constantly on the run, then perhaps you will want to look into the many pod coffee brewers that are available on the market and through OneCupCoffeeTitan.com.
